playing golfin the Caucasus
Golf may not be the first thing travellers associate with Azerbaijan, but two 18-hole courses offer plenty of thrills, challenges, and impressive landscapes. Dreamland Golf Club features a scenic, yet challenging course suited to golfers of all abilities, spreading across 330 hectares of Baku’s lush green suburbs, but golfers with more time to spare should travel north to Guba’s National Golf Club located in the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains. This was the first course to open in Azerbaijan and hosted the Azerbaijan Challenge Open in 2014, the country’s first professional tournament. It boasts a purpose-built clubhouse with luxurious locker rooms, a shop catering to every golfer’s needs, and some truly unique dining options. The stunning Caucasus nature and mountain views make golf tournaments held here an unforgettable experience.
The Azerbaijan Tourism Board's membership in the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) has been renewed for 2024. As an industry partner of the association, Azerbaijan promises high-quality services to golfers, offering tailored and top-tier products that meet game requirements, deliver the best golfing experiences and a hospitable environment.
