Absheron-Sharab
A short drive from Baku, Absheron-Sharab winery is one of the leading producers of wine and strong beverages in Azerbaijan. Based near Baku (in the settlement of Mehdiabad), the enterprise is spread over an area of 1.2 hectares and produces more than 70 varieties of wine and other alcoholic drinks. Today, the winery produces a wide range of beverages, including wine, brandies, vodkas, whiskies, sparkling wines and fruit distillates, using both foreign grape varieties and local ones, such as Madrasa and Bayan Shira.
Absheron-Sharab winery’s tour includes an introduction to the winemaking technology and production stages at the winery and various tasting packages. You can sample white and red, as well as sparking and pomegranate, wines, spirits, brandies, whiskies and fruit distillates.
Absheron-Sharab Tasting Room also offers wine tasting to visitors in Icherisheher (Old City). Tourists can buy wines here, where they can try before buying. There also have various types of spirits, whiskies, brandies and fruit distillates produced by Absheron-Sharab.
