Opening its doors to the public in 2019, Azerbaijan Railway Museum is composed of three exhibition rooms, two cinema halls and a souvenir shop. The exhibition rooms house a diverse collection of items and information, such as train and railway models, archival photographs and video materials that transport its viewers back in time to the 19th century, highlighting the history and stages of development of the railway network of Azerbaijan.
While wandering around the museum, you might get lost among all the railway-related objects. You will encounter unique artefacts - the Transcaucasia Railway's historical map, uniforms of railway men from 1885 to 1964 - and immerse yourself in the historical and technical wonders of railways, learning about the significance of railway transportation during the First and Second World Wars.
For documentary enthusiasts, the museum’s cinema hall offers an immersive journey into the past and milestone moments of railways in Azerbaijan.
