For the first time in the history of Azerbaijani theatre, a performance jointly presented by Azerbaijani and Georgian theatres will be staged.This unique project will be performed in both Azerbaijani and Georgian languages.
Ganja State National Drama Theatre invites you to the stage adaptation of “KUKARACHA,” based on the novella by one of Georgia's most iconic literary figures, Nodar Dumbadze.
This powerful performance brings to life a delicate and haunting story where laughter meets sorrow, sin meets forgiveness, and life confronts death. Set in the old neighborhoods of post-war Tbilisi, the poetic drama unfolds through the fate of a fallen thief — Kukaracha — exploring themes of dignity, love, shame, and despair.
This is not the story of a criminal.It is the story of a human being.He made mistakes, but even within those mistakes, he managed to remain human.
