Learn a few words

While Azerbaijan is a multicultural nation home to many different – and often unique – languages, Azerbaijani is the official one and by far the most widely spoken. Azerbaijani is a Turkic language influenced by Arabic, Persian and European languages. Here are a few key words and phrases to get you started:
