the hot and healingwaters of Masalli
Located on the Masalli-Yardimli main road near the River Vilashchay, the area known as Yanardagh captivates with its miraculous subalpine climate. The name of the area comes from the spring and mountain here that has been burning for centuries, igniting like a flame due to the sulphur content in the water. When you enter the area, you are greeted by the steam of hot sulphuric water that rises directly out of the depths of the Earth. After climbing 200 steps, you can observe the natural miracle of burning rocks and fire emerging from the ground. Currently, Yanardagh Recreation Centre operates in this area, where you can relax in the thermal baths. People come here to make the most of the water from the burning spring, considered therapeutic, in order to relieve foot pain and many other illnesses.
In terms of other health and treatment facilities, consider Masalli Istisu Health Centre, where two sanatoria operate to offer guests a convenient choice of treatments. This place is the largest and oldest hot spring centre of its kind in Masalli. In addition to the small thermal springs here, there is also a large outdoor hot pool, which is a unique feature among the area’s therapeutic water sites. There are also on-site examination and treatment areas with medical staff available to assist guests, as well as the option of various massage and physiotherapy procedures.
