On the wayto Gurjana Waterfall
Just 4.6 km from the Palace of the Shaki Khans, Gurjana Waterfall is one of Shaki's most beautiful natural attractions. Hidden among lush forests and rocky cliffs, the two-tier waterfall offers a peaceful retreat for nature lovers.
The trail starts at the Palace of the Shaki Khans and follows the historic A. Hagverdiyev Street before winding into the mountains towards the upper cascade. Here, visitors can relax, enjoy a picnic, or use the designated area for a campfire. Reaching the lower cascade requires a steeper descent and should be approached with caution. Along the way, visitors can admire traditional architecture, see the Octagonal Minaret and visit the Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh House Museum. At the waterfall, a designated picnic and campfire area provides the perfect place to relax, while the lower cascade can be reached via a steeper path that requires extra care.
Clearly marked throughout, the trail combines Shaki's rich cultural heritage with breathtaking mountain scenery, making it an ideal adventure for hikers and explorers alike.
