The Lachin district located in southwest of Azerbaijan, is one of the leading tourist destinations, distinguished by its rich nature and historical heritage. Lachin district, with its vast forest areas, protected zones, and rich flora and fauna, enhances the ecological attractiveness of the region. The Alban temples, mosques, and other cultural monuments in the area reflect its ancient historical heritage. The villages of the district, with their distinct natural environment, geographical setting, and cultural characteristics, play an important role in shaping Lachin’s tourism value.

Zabukh is situated in a scenic highland area at the confluence of the Hakari and Zabukh rivers. It is known for its fresh air, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent hiking opportunities. During the summer, residents offer their homes as guest accommodation, allowing visitors to experience authentic village life.

Husulu, another mountain village, is distinguished by its breathtaking scenery. It provides ideal conditions for trekking and camping, while also offering the chance to experience rural mountain life. The Hamza Sultan Palace is an important heritage landmark here, preserving the legacy of the region’s ancient history.

Mirik is home to numerous caves, waterfalls, and unique rock formations shaped by volcanic processes. Caves such as ‘Garanlig Kaha’ (Dark Cave) and ‘Baygara’ stand as evidence of the region’s ancient past. Distinctive geological formations, including cone-shaped rocks and columns that attract special attentions, add a remarkable character to the landscape. Natural springs such as Aghbulag (White Spring), Peri Bulag (Fairy Spring), and Chichek Bulag (Flower Spring) offer both aesthetic appeal and potential for wellness tourism.

Sus stands out as one of the most attractive mountain tourism destinations, characterized by its remarkable natural setting and distinctive geological features. Extensive green areas combined with volcanic formations create a striking landscape.

Beylik is a charming tourist destination known for its captivating nature, peaceful atmosphere, and convenient location. It offers ideal conditions for both active and relaxing leisure, including hiking, walking, and camping.
