Stretching 6.9 km, this trail is mostly downhill, allowing hikers of any skill level to enjoy a comfortable and pleasant journey.
About 2 km along the trail, hikers encounter the cave-shaped Farhad House, a rock-like shelter notable for its mystical aura. Pausing here to take in the scenery and breathe deeply is a truly unique experience.
Beyond Farhad House, the trail winds through lush forests and green meadows. Traveling from Zorbulag to Bichenek, hikers can fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the surrounding nature.

Seasonality
For hiking, the best periods in the area are spring, summer and autumn.
Food and accommodation
There are no stores along the trail. However, in Bichenek village, the final stop before the route, two stores are available. Hikers can stay in the village’s rental houses or in cottages at the Batabat Recreation Centre. If you plan to camp overnight, be sure to bring a tent and other necessary equipment.
Water supply
Along the route, you’ll come across two springs, and there’s another one near the campsite.
Transportation
From Nakhchivan city, the starting point of the route can be reached by taxi or private vehicle.
Caution
Be careful when driving to the point where the trail meets the paved road. When the lake freezes, the ice may be dangerously thin, so stepping onto it is not recommended.

Permits and specially protected areas
Situated near the state border, Farhad House lies in a restricted area where approaching the border is prohibited, and any violations can lead to legal penalties. Visitors are advised to avoid the military post at the end of the trail unless necessary. Taking photos or videos of military installations, personnel, or equipment is strictly forbidden.
