Stretching 6.9 km, this trail winds through both lush forests and rugged mountains. It starts on a dirt road that runs to the right of the information board.
About 2.7 km in, the trail meets a paved road. Once you cross the asphalt road at a right angle, follow a parallel paved road on the left for roughly 500 m. The trail then returns to a dirt road, leading to a flat plain after about 1 km.
Just 700 m further, you arrive at the renowned Farhad House. Nestled within a massive rock, this natural cave with four rooms is a key stop for hikers. Pausing here to admire the scenery and breathe in the fresh mountain air is a truly special experience.
Beyond the military post, hikers are greeted with stunning views of Yukhari Batabat Lake. The trail concludes at the lake’s shore, but for those eager to continue, markers on the lake’s right-hand side lead to Ashaghi (Lower) Batabat Lake.
Following Farhad House and a walk past the military post, hikers are greeted with stunning views of Yukhari Batabat Lake. The trail concludes at the lake’s shore, but for those eager to continue, markers on the right-hand side guide the way to Lower Batabat Lake.
This route can also be travelled in the opposite direction.
