Sambo is a dynamic martial art and combat sport that blends elements of wrestling and judo. Originating in the Soviet Union, it focuses on throws, joint locks, and ground control techniques to subdue opponents.

This sport enhances physical strength, agility, and tactical decision-making while also serving as an effective self-defense system. Sambo is divided into two main styles: Sport Sambo, which emphasizes grappling and takedowns, and Combat Sambo, which incorporates striking techniques alongside submissions.

As a globally recognized discipline, Sambo is practiced in international competitions and continues to grow in popularity worldwide.
