Located amid a fabulous forest in the village of Magov, Zagatala District, Zagatala Trout Fish Farm rears high-quality rainbow trout. Operating since 1979, the trout benefit from pure mountain water, natural feed and an overall favourable environment. The farm has a responsible approach to nature and uses some of the trout to restock local rivers.

Visitors are welcome to experience an eco-tour and food tasting. This entails a behind-the-scenes look at the working trout farm that reveals all the nuances of fish breeding. Professionals will involve you in the entire rearing process, from fry to adult. At the onsite restaurant, you can enjoy fried trout with a wide variety of other dishes.

Professional fish breeders will introduce you to the process of fish feeding, and you can even participate in this process yourself. At the restaurant located within the premises, you can enjoy fried trout and a wide variety of other dishes as well.

Another unique experience at the farm is the opportunity to catch your own dinner – the trout you land will be prepared for you by the farm’s chefs. Additionally, between May and September, outdoor fish cooking is available through advanced bookings.
