“Silent Cry” and “I Can’t Forget” (Monodramas)
event details
“Silent Cry” tells the story of a mother who cannot come to terms with the loss of her child. She spends her days speaking to his memory and imagining his presence. In this performance, where love and grief intertwine, a mother’s love never dies — on the contrary, her only hope for survival lies in those imagined meetings with her child. The play portrays the inner struggle one faces in the wake of loss and the boundless power of maternal love.
“I Can’t Forget” is a reflection of an elderly person looking back on their past. They wish to forget their youth, memories, and mistakes, yet each recollection comes alive again. Regret, love, and the pain of lost time merge into one. The performance reveals the human struggle with oneself and the impossibility of escaping one’s past.
