In Memory of Ahmed Agdamski — A Tribute to a Theatrical Legend

A concert program dedicated to the cherished memory of the distinguished figure of Azerbaijani opera art, Honored Art Worker Ahmed Agdamski, will unite some of the country’s finest performers on one stage.

The evening will feature works by Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Muslim Magomayev, and other renowned composers, as well as traditional mugham and tasnif performances.

The concert will feature soloists of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre — People’s Artist Gulyaz Mammadova, Honored Artists Arzu Aliyeva and Elnur Zeynalov, along with soloists Ayten Maharramova, Mirali Sarizade, Aydan Guliyeva, Nezer Beylerov, Mutellim Demirov, Afaq Agayeva, Gunel Hajiyeva, Khayal Huseynov, and Gulzar Ramizli.

The performers will be accompanied by People’s Artist Elchin Hashimov (tar), Honored Artist Elnur Ahmadov (kamancha), and a folk instrument ensemble.
The choir ensemble, under the direction of Honored Art Worker Sevil Hajiyeva, the theatre’s chief choirmaster, will also participate in the concert.
