The Harry Potter soundtracks are among the most recognizable in the history of world cinema. How was the feeling of magic created? John Williams used the celesta, an instrument with an unusual "glass" sound. That's what you hear in the theme song at the beginning of every movie. Another feature of the screensaver is the notes played with an error. Williams deliberately plays one of the ten notes lower than necessary. This creates a fascinating feeling of unpredictability.

And of course, the Potter novels would not have been able to come to life without sound special effects. Spells, transformations, magical creatures — all these form an important part of the Potteriana.

The main musical theme of "Harry Potter" — Hedwig's Theme — is in all eight films about the young wizard. And in the first two it sounds as many as 24 times.
