The 2018/2019 UEFA Europa League final will be held in Baku’s Olympic Stadium on 29 May 2019. The Baku Olympic Stadium was named the venue of the 2019 UEFA Europe League final at a UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Nyon on 20th September 2017. This final will be the first deciding match to be played in the Azerbaijani capital, according to UEFA. The 69,870-seater Olympic Stadium was completed in March 2015 and in June 2015 it served as the main venue for the 2015 European Games, hosting the opening and closing ceremonies and the athletics events.
Visas for the 2019 UEFA Europa League Final:
Foreigners and stateless persons travelling to the Republic of Azerbaijan for the 2019 UEFA Europa League Final in Baku may obtain visas at any of the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan between 15 May - 1 June 2019. One of the following documents shall be regarded as a basis for visa issuance:
- An official invitation letter from the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA);
- A document proving accreditation in accordance with the relevant rules of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA);
- A ticket to the 2019 UEFA Europa League Final in Baku or a document proving the availability of a ticket.
Foreigners and stateless persons travelling to the Republic of Azerbaijan for the 2019 UEFA Europe League Final in Baku will be able to obtain an e-visa through the ASAN Visa system, via the system's website - www.evisa.gov.az. E-visa applications are reviewed within 3 working days; urgent cases are reviewed within 3 hours.
