Highland Park - the landscaped terraces of which overlook the city and give the best view over the Baku Bay, National Flaq Square and Seaside Boulevard. The Park offers reportedly the best panoramic views of the city and the bay. You can reach the park by climbing a long flight of stairs or by taking a scenic ride on a funicular.

If you desire to enjoy the nicest examples of Islamic architecture in Azerbaijan, we will have a longer break to impress the spectacular night view of the largest mosque of Caucasus.

Baku Olympic Stadium is a 68,700-seat stadium, constructed to meet the highest international standards for stadiums and to welcome international and local sport and social events.
Stop At: Flame Towers, 1A, Mehdi Huseyn, Baku Azerbaijan
Illuminated by screens of more than 10,000 LED lights, Flame Towers transform the city's skyline with their visual spectacle. Completed in 2012, the modern tower complex consists of three curvy edifices, designed to display moving flames visible across the city.

The 4th stop of our travel itinerary is Baku's Old Town, or "Icherisheher". Icherisheher is the pearl of Azerbaijani architecture and culture. There are many galleries and exhibition halls in Icherisheher where you can see and purchase the works of various artists, sculptors and master craftsmen.

Stop At: Palace of the Shirvanshahs, Zamkovskaya Side-street, 76 Icherisheher, Baku 1000 Azerbaijan
The most recognisable monuments of Old City is Palace of the Shirvanshahs, an expansive building that is a testament to Azerbaijan’s impressive architectural heritage. This monument of universal value, one of the pearls of Azerbaijan's architecture is located at the highest point of Icherisheher. Within the Palace complex, there are the Divankhana (reception hall), the Tomb of Shah, the residential building of Shirvanshahs, the Tomb of Seyid Yahya Bakuvi, Murad’s Gate (the only monument of the 16th century), the Tomb of Shirvanshahs’ Family, the Shah Mosque and the Palace bath-house.

The most ancient monument of Icherisheher is the Maiden Tower – the symbol of the of Baku. Some evidence suggests that the construction of the Tower might have been as early as the 7th-6th centuries BCE.

Day 2: Full-day Baku City Exploration Tour
Stop At: Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, Mikayil Useynov, 28 The Seaside Boulevard, Baku 1001 Azerbaijan
State Museum of Azerbaijani Carpet - being brilliantly photogenic, the museum, designed in the form of a huge folded carpet, also houses ceramics, 14th-century metalwork, bronze-age jewellery and the vast collection of 10,000 carpets from the 17th to the 20th century.

The Heydar Aliyev Center, which was designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid and completed in 2012, is rumoured to be one of the most expensive buildings in Europe per square meter. Its rolling, flowing design made waves within architectural, engineering, and design circles garnered it much prestigious and international recognition.

Day 3: Full-day trip to Gobustan and Absheron
Stop At: Bibi-Heybat Mosque, Baku Azerbaijan
The Bibi-Heybat Mosque is a historical mosque in Baku, Azerbaijan. The existing structure, built in the 1990s, is a recreation of the mosque with the same name built in the 13th century which was completely destroyed by the Bolsheviks in 1936. The Bibi-Heybat Mosque today is the spiritual centre for the Muslims of the region and one of the major monuments of Islamic architecture in Azerbaijan.

Stop At: Gobustan Rock Art, Gobustan Settlement - Garadagh District 60 km South of Baku, Qobustan 1080 Azerbaijan
A national historic landmark and a World Heritage Site, Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape preserves ancient stone relics, rock carvings, and mud volcanoes. Located on the Greater Caucasus mountain ridge, the reserve shelters more than 6,000 engraved images of prehistoric lifestyles, hunting, and animal and plant life, dating back between 5,000 and 40,000 years.

Stop At: Mud Volcanoes, Dasgil Hill, Qobustan 3700 Azerbaijan
During this trip, you will get a great chance to see these amazing active volcanoes from a very close distance. Watch mud bubbling out of the earth at Mud Volcanoes, strange geological formations bursting warm liquid set against a backdrop of mountains in Gobustan National Park. Fizzy, snorting bubbles and an occasional sound of snoring make a mesmerizing spectacle.

Stop At: Ateshgah - Fire Temple, Сураханский район, Baku Azerbaijan
The Temple of Eternal Fire - Ateshgah - is an authentic Azerbaijani exotic. It is well-known practically all over the world. This territory is known for such unique natural phenomenon as burning natural gas outlets (underground gas coming onto surface contacts oxygen and lights up). The temple in its present state was constructed in the 17th-18th centuries.

Stop At: Yanar Dag, Binagadi-Balakhany Highway Absheron Peninsula - Village of Mammadli, Baku 0125 Azerbaijan
One of the most famous and popular tourist places of the "eternal flame” in Azerbaijan is the mountain of Yanar Dag. Actually, it is rather a hill than a mountain, with natural gas burning on its slope from ancient times.

Day 4: Full-day Trip to Shamakhi and Qabala
Stop At: Diri Baba Mausoleum, Qobustan Azerbaijan
Diri-Baba Mausoleum, located in the village of Maraza on the way from Baku to Shamakhi, is one of the most impressive tombs ever built in Azerbaijan. Due to its unique setting, original architecture and various legends surrounding the monument, it is a popular destination for both pilgrims and tourists.

Stop At: Juma Mosque, Nariman Narimanov St., Shamakhi Azerbaijan
This oldest and largest mosque in Azerbaijan, Shamakhi Dzhuma, according to the legend was built in the 8th century when Shamakhi was chosen as residence by an Arabian caliph. The initial Arabian inscription on the portal of the mosque said that the mosque had constructed in 744. Therefore Shamakhi Dzhuma is considered as one of the earliest mosques of Transcaucasia. The composition of Shamakhi Dzhuma has no analogues in Azerbaijan. The architecture of the building is as follows - the huge hall for prayers is divided into three independent sections connected by open wide doorways.

Lake Nohur is a manmade lake created after World War II to supply surrounding villages with water. Eye-catching Lake with the magnificent Caucasus Mountains, fresh air and water are one of the most picturesque places of Gabala. Today it is a popular recreation spot consisting of a large tree-lined body of water reflecting the Greater Caucasus Mountains in its green-blue waters.

Stop At: Tufandag Winter Summer Tourism Holiday Complex, 4 km from Qabala City, Qabala Azerbaijan
Tufandag Mountain Resort is a must-see place for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts. The Tufandag Mountain reaches 4,191m in height and boasts a stunning landscape of pure white snow and wisps of cloud floating amidst the Caucasus Mountains. It’s also Azerbaijan’s latest ski resort, which opened in January 2014
