  • Heydar Aliyev Museum

    Established in 1999, the museum of Heydar Aliyev, native of Nakhchivan, contains personal documents and materials, letters, as well as decrees and orders relating to the period when he worked as the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Heydar Aliyev’s personal items are also located here. Altogether, there are 2,384 exhibits in the museum.

  • Huseyn Javid House Museum

    The museum was opened in 1981 in a house in Alikhan neighborhood, where Huseyn Javid, the founder of Azerbaijani romantic literature, was born. In its collection, the museum has 6,824 exhibits, including photographs depicting the life and work of the writer, the first editions of his works signed by him, posters and playbills, various keepsakes, household items, and other items.

  • Nakhchivan State Museum of History

    The museum was founded in 1924 as a historical and ethnographic museum. Later it was changed toMuseumofHistoryand Regional Studies, and has had its current name since 1968. In Nakhchivan State Museum of History, there are 45,000 exhibits depicting the rich and ancient history of the region.

  • Open-air Museum

    The museum was opened in 2002. It is located in Ajami Seyrangyahi (Park Ajami) in Nakhchivan. Out-of-doors, there are 222 exhibits including material and cultural items of different periods of history that were found on the territory of theNakhchivanAutonomousRepublic. There are stone sheep statues, stone tablets inscriptions, various stone figures, gravestones in the form of a chest that was painted, etc. found here as well.
